Tramfloc's belt filter presses and
dewatering equipment

Tramfloc Inc. provides water treatment equipment and chemicals for water, wastewater plants and mines. The company sells and services systems for sludge dewatering such as belt filter presses and thickeners, ion exchange for contaminant removal, reverse osmosis, chemical feeding and control, filter gravel and anthracite.

Sludge Dewatering - Sludge dewatering is the removal of water from sludge to reduce its volume, lowering hauling costs. This process, typically accomplished with belt filter presses or screw presses or other equipment, also makes the sludge easier to burn, reducing fuel costs.

Product Description: Tramfloc® 348 is a blend of mineral acids and surfactants especially formulated to loosen and remove polymer accumulations on and in processing equipment, and polymer make down areas. Tramfloc® 348 is supplied as a stable, high density solution. Tramfloc® 348 is completely water soluble, biodegradable and is safe to use. It is non toxic, does not contain chlorinated hydrocarbons, and is approved by major belt filter fabric producers as a cleaner to remove polymer slimes from the fabric.

Uses: Tramfloc® 348 is used to increase wastewater plant sludge production, clean up polymer spills, old polymer drums and encrusted polymer masses. Tramfloc® 348 will produce drier cake by improving water release on presses or centrifuges. Tramfloc® 348 will keep the press fabric cleaner, reduce hauling costs, and reduce polymer consumption. Plants with drying beds and any type of belt filter can improve water release efficiency by applying Tramfloc® 348. Systems with spray nozzles should have Tramfloc® 348 added periodically to the wash water as a maintenance procedure.

Make-Down: It is recommended that stock solutions of 10-20%be prepared.

Packaging: Tramfloc® 348 is available in 525# net weight drums and in bulk.

Handling and Storage: Tramfloc® 348 should be stored in a cool, dry place. Empty drums should be disposed of according to local regulations.
