Dewatering belts for use in belt presses and double-wire presses or for use on belt filters with or without the application of a vacuum, have been part of the KUFFERATH program for decades.

New fabric styles are constantly being tested along with new seam constructions - in each case dependent on the particular application and the design of the press or filter.

The main areas of application for our TECHNOFLEX dewatering belts
* Removal of water from biological sludges and mixed sludges from municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
* Removal of water from fibrous material and fibrous sludges in the pulp and paper industry.
* Making juices and concentrates from fruit and vegetables.
* Removal of water from sludges in mining, gravel and sand extraction.

Some of our fabrics are appropriate for universal use, while others have been specifically developed for a special area of operation. This also applies to the different seams that all our fabrics are equipped with - from the robust clipper seams made from stainless steel or special corrosion-resistant alloys to snap-on seams to fine, hardly visible woven seams. We have the requisite know-how, to selectively target the advice we give you.

With our TECHNOFLEX SP fabrics, we provide community and industrial wastewater treatment plants with fabric types with a high number of warp threads and a smooth tap side - ideal for filtration, caking and seperating lumps from the belt.

In the pulp and paper industry, as well as the standard fabrics made of 100% polyester, our robust mixed fabric made of polyester and polyamide monofilament have gained acceptance in stock preparation thanks to their stability and their longevity.

Our TECHNOFLEX SP types again come into use for fruit and vegetables, where, of course, our clipper seams are coated exclusively with food-compatible plastics.

Our customers in mining prefer to use even mesh pattern of open filter fabrics, whereas with gravel and sand extraction, lateral stability and fabric life are of primary importance.
