Our chlorination systems represent the industry standard for solid chlorine disinfection. Designed specifically to use our calcium hypochlorite tablets and feeders, we have combined experience and performance to deliver a safe, dependable alternative to gas or bleach as a means to purify water. Utilizing technology that has been in use since 1982, our system benefits from experience gained in over two thousand installations representing satisfied customers in virtually every segment of water treatment.
NSF, state, and local approvals, assure our customers of equipment and chemistry that can meet or exceed regulatory and local standards for consistent, certified performance.
Solid chlorine stands alone as the safest form of chlorine disinfection. Requiring only minimal safety equipment for handling, users can breathe easy knowing our tablets are safe for both people and the environment. The elimination of costly scrubbers, containment, or hazard response capability, guarantees lower initial costs and reduced operating expense.
"Innovation pure and simple," best describes our chlorinators. Our engineers strive to deliver equipment that reflects not only leading edge technology but operating and maintenance that match today's industrial and municipal operating environment. Easy to use, easy to understand and easy to maintain ... a winning combination.
The Terminator System
How It Works
Water flow is precisely controlled over the tablets via a flowmeter and control valve which provides controlled erosion of the tablets. Arden Industries has designed a removable tablet stacking container which allows uniform positioning, without damage to the tablets. Drop-down tablet insertion is eliminated.
The "Terminator" can be configured with any number of chambers and it can be downsized to hold a few tablets, or upsized to hold up to 25 tablets per chamber. A single, double, quad or more chambers can be provided, depending on your requirements. The "Terminator" can be provided as a flow-proportion, residual or compound loop control system.

You can replace gaseous chlorine or sodium hypochlorite in any size application, well, water or wastewater plant with our tablet feeder. From 40 gpm to 10+ MGD, there are no flow restrictions. Our units can hold from 15 to 1200 pounds of tablets. Our units have a small foot print, 8 square feet, and weigh only 75 pounds.
Our tablet feeders can be sited in remote locations, industrial operations, water improvement districts, in residential areas, large and small wastewater plants, food plant flume spray water disinfection, cooling water systems, anywhere you would have planned to apply gas.
If the concerns of the health and safety
regulators, your insurance carrier, the extra precautions which must be taken
to apply gas, have all made the application of gas a more problematic and hazardous
task, consider the tablet alternative. Call Tramfloc, Inc. We can help.

Until not too long ago, those seeking water treatment for small
applications were reduced to two options, chlorine gas and bleach. Meanwhile,
larger users always had the alternative of table chlorination methods. Now smaller
users are offered the new system that provides the same benefits only previously
available on a larger scale.
Our technology guides and controls the dilution water
to more effectively regulate and monitor the tablet erosion process. A magnetic
stirring bar is installed to create a powerful vortex in a small water chamber.
The vortex creates positive and negative pressures within the chamber allowing
for controlled recirculation of the solution generation process. This means
that our specially configured vortex continually blends tablets and water to
mix the right solution strength, and since the small batches of solution are
generated on an "as needed" basis, the system always delivers consistent chemistry.
In comparison, since sodium hypoclorite can lose almost half of its strength
in 10 days, it's not hard to see how maintaining consistent chlorine residuals
in fractions of 1 part per million (PPM) is almost impossible without constant
adjustments of the metering system.
Small water treatments users such as resorts, mobile home villages, towns and
community parks have traditionally relied on either chlorine gas or sodium hypoclorite
as a disinfectant for both their potable and wastewater systems. When carefully
managed, both methods can be effective. However, they each have issues of safety,
maintenance and efficiency that continue to make them poorly suited for the small
volume user. While larger users avoid the liability of chlorine gas and the inefficiencies
of sodium hypochlorite by switching to tablet chlorination systems, those with
lower water flows have wondered when such systems will be available. That time
has arrived.
A new, advanced tablet disinfection system brings performance that has proven
itself very successfully on large scale and smaller users. Until now, the leading
tablet technology required site specific custom engineering for every application.
However, this new concept, which features a simple "water and power up" design,
requires no custom engineering. A single system has the ability to cover a broad
range of chlorine demand, treatment volume and operating conditions. This functional
flexibility makes the tablet chlorinator useful for most disinfection applications
including rural, county and city water supplies, food and beverage processing,
meat processing, cooling tower biocontrol, wastewater and more. Our tablet system
is ideal for anyone with a need to safely chlorinate water flows of 50-to-2,000
gallons per minute (gpm). Most importantly, the technology is being scaled down
even more, which means it can be configured to serve users such as churches, schools,
restaurants and even homeowners that utilize individual wells at flow rates less
than 50 gpm.
| Accurate
chlorine delivery that's automatic and dependable We know that modern operations demand an efficient, dependable, highly accurate chlorinating system - and we designed our systems to have those exact qualities. Our chlorinating tablets maintain their specified strength during normal storage and use. And our patented chlorinating systems produce a constant and predictable level of chlorine, with minimal operator adjustment. No gas to escape, no bleach that loses potency, no constant maintenance with pumps and pipes. Just a chlorinating system that does its job, dependably and accurately, day in ... day out, safely. Our patented chlorinators simplify the chlorinating process Incoming clean water contacts only the bottom surface of the 3-Inch calcium hypochlorite tablets in the chlorinator. The tablets erode at a consistent rate, releasing a controlled amount of chlorine into the water flow. The higher the water flow, the more chlorine that is delivered. Treated water from the chlorinator then combines with unchlorinated water, achieving a regulated level of available chlorine (AvCl) to meet your operational requirements. We have a chlorinator for just about every requirement - from less than a pound a day to a few hundred pounds a day. |
